Cleaning the bulkhead connector IS more tedious than ignoring it,
    but after several owners have taken the easy way it needs to be
    done!  Then, of course, there's the chance that you will find wires
    or connectors that have become unusable from overheating, corrosion
    or whatever.  THEN the bad parts need to be replaced, or the damage
    needs to be repaired in some manner.  {{The sarcastic little A-hole
    in my wants to say:
  "Well, then, you could just scrap the
        car!  That's not tedious."}}  I take no responsibility
    for what that little guy says, but sometimes he's right.

            bad, I'm gonna try the two starter switches on the other '65

        If that doesn't solve the problem,
            next is a tedious job of cleaning the connections at the
            bulkhead connector inside and out. The end under the dash
            going to be a challenge. But gotta do it in case it's a
            corroded connection.   Time's a wastin.

                  I had a problem with my
                    ignition switch where one of the male lugs on the
                    back of the switch was broken where it is riveted to
                    the body of the switch.  It would make contact some
                    of the time making it hard to find.
