    Welcome back, Lyle.  Mighty nice lookin' MOPAR.  There have been
    many articles on overcharging all over the 'net from time to time. 
    Have you tried a general wiring cleanup as suggested before?  Over
    the near half century our cars have been operating, wiring contact
    points (terminals, switches, etc) and ground contact points (both
    ends of ground cables, etc) develop rust/corrosion and eventually
    the voltage regulators are seeing a reduced voltage and so they try
    to compensate.    The result is overcharging like what you are
