Yes, the numbers are required but the "numbers" are the RESULT of a correct
parts combination of cam/ignition/carb/exhaust/gearing...therefore, install
the proper combination of parts to realize the goal/feel of power; then you
may quantify on the dyno and have the numbers to encourage others for
similar builds.
Don't chase the numbers; like statistics - statistics don't lie but you can
lie with statistics and most people are fooled by mfgrs. and marketing hype
which is designed to lure for purchase and not satisfaction.

Ricky, it's definitely true the feeling is more important than the numbers,

318 Poly, bored out 60 over, with a new slightly hotter cam, Chrysler
power 4 barrel Intake, Edelbrock 650 CFM carb, and TTI Headers, anybody
want to hazard a guess?
