RE: Fuel pump problems



Ken,

I guess anything in this world is possible, but I have never seen a
mechanical
fuel pump just go crazy and start putting out extra pressure. Some of
them
can be quite high, in the 12 to 9 pound range, but I have never seen one
increase
in pressure after running awhile.

I guess I will try again.  What about a new fuel pump?  Could the old
one go bad and put out too much pressure? Regards, Ken

Your experience with the leaking fuel pressure regulator must be an
isolated one.  I have used many over the years and haven't experienced
that kind of problem.
