A-body 8.75" demand high price here in OHIO as well. We got one for my buddy for his 67 dart and ended up only using the case. the axles needed replaced with bigbolt units to match the disks we put on the front and the pumpkin was upgraded to a sure-grip unit with bigger gears. We even had to swap the backing plates off the 8.25" rear we were replacing to use the larger 10.5 brakes. We were relocating the spring as well and the perches had to be moved anyway. so after searching and searching for theis expensive rear we only used one part from it. the B-body unit would have bolted right up but been .5" longer on each side... We still ended up getting bspecial backspaced rims to fit more meat under it so if we had started with a B-body rear it would have been alot cheaper in the long run... Well hind sight is 20/20..

I have an 8.75" rear from a 69 blunt nosed van, does anybody have mesurments for this rear?

That was with a sure grip, remember all A bodies did not have
8.75 rears.... I am assuming that this is what this discussion has
been all about.

Earl

Was that $700 for an open or suregrip rear? Do opens bring anything? I
know
of a yard that has numerous early A's, but probably all open rears. Jeff
