If you intend to leave the transmission in the car, when you pull the
engine, you will need to support the front of the trans. You can stretch
a chain or ropes across the torsion bars to hold it up. At least that way
you can still move the car around. If you disconnect the torque converter
from the flex plate, use a C clamp or vice grips to keep the convertor
connected to the input shaft of the transmission. This way, you only have
to move the engine forward about three inches, and then strait up. It's
best to mark the convertor and flex plate, to be able to realign them on
assembly. A squirt of paint is easier to see, upside down and backwards,
laying on your back, them some kind of stamp or marker.

Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. I.e., send parts/car transactions and negotiations as well as other personal messages only to the intended recipient, not to the Clubhouse public address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
