The entire reason I kept my spare poly was it's intake. It's from a '59
Sport fury and factory four barrel. True, it has the mild carter carb,
generator and other stock items but the car was toast and I took a chance
(and 200 bucks) and bagged the motor. I even put it up for sale on Gary's
swaps but I'm keeping it for further use down the road, along with the P600
complete and a few weiand. Most sport furies of the early sixties from what
I've been told had the factory four intake so that's a reason to scrounge a
yard if I ever heard one. Small openings but a good solid runner. I only
wish I took the exhaust manifolds too.

I think when it comes right down to it, the Weiand intake is purchased
because the factory single four unit is like hens teeth. I lucked out, my
Coronets
poly was from a '62 Fury so it had the original intake and the intake on my
Fury was in the back of my '65 Belvedere parts car along with other poly
parts.
I have seen poly single four intakes but they are usually expensive. It is
a
shame that someone didn't make a better intake for a poly motor. I know my
biggest complaint with the Weiand was the poor casting quality. I couldn't
put
a socket on some of the intake bolts and I had to grind off the back to get
it to clear the distributor.
