i got one at the local auto zone. it was 11 $. it was solid state and all electronic unlike the old mechanical unit. it had the same base and i was able to take the big cover off the original and it fit right on the new one and you couldn't tell it wasn't original, as the hook ups were the same... it also made all my guages work!!!

Does someone have a part number for the correct voltage regulator I would
need for my Bel? It is a 65, w/ 361. It has the orange box electronic
ignition upgrade. Can this be found at local parts stores (NAPA, Autozone, ect...)?
The kid behind the counter at NAPA didn't know what I was talking about.
