Connect the wiring BEFORE you bolt the starter in. The studs are too close to the block for EZ wiring termination one the starter is bolted in. There is a black plastic cover that snaps off with the aid of a small screwdriver. Pry off the cover. Underneath the cover you will see where the terminal block attaches to the starter. Unbolt the terminal block and attach your wiring to the studs that were used to attach the terminal block to the starter. You may also have to do some minor grinding on the starter housing where it meets the block to get it to mount flush. Not much grinding is required, no biggie. (I have Hedman headers to work with.) The starter goes in but as we tighten the bolts the terminals for the starter wires prevent tightening down the bolts. I know someone dealt successfully with this problem recently. Help!
