I know the bare block is around 225-235 pounds. I found a stand rated at 750 pounds with four wheels. Havent got it yet, waiting for u guys to give the thumbs up or down. What do u think of that? I just bought a monstrous 2 ton folding cherry picker today with a load leveler too. Neal Zimmerman, Eugene Oregon I could be way off on this but I seem to remember that a fully loaded 440 or even a 383 tipped the scales at 525 or more. I had one of those 750 lb rated stands. In my opinion not good. I would shoot for an overkill stand. My primary stand is rated at 1300lbs and has an H style footprint. I still use the smaller stand for bare small blocks.
