I've been running "Mastercraft" tires for some years now on everything except my '72 Cuda (which has Goodyear "Nascar #1" yellow letter tires to match the lemon twist paint), they are the Cooper "low line" brand sold through individual tire stores such as where I trade. The Mastercraft "Avenger" is the performance line, I've used and like several sets on various of my vehicles. I've found that I need to buy one size larger than I otherwise would with the Avenger, for example if you would buy a 195R70X14 in Goodrich T/A, you'll want a 205R70X14 in the Avenger to get the same dimensions. I don't know if this is directly true of the Cooper branded ones also. The Mastercraft truck tires, "touring" tires, and performance tires I've been buying look exactly the same as the Cooper branded items (and the Pep Boys "Futura" line for that matter.)

Just got back from Anchorage - there is not one single BFGoodrich Radial T/A tire in the entire state of Alaska!!! I'm looking at 6-8 weeks to order. UGH sometimes I hate living in Alaska!

Cooper has a Cooper Cobra T/A in stock, about the same price as a BFG T/A, and in the sizes I want.

What's the Cooper reputation, and more importantly how do they perform and last? Anyone have them on their car/truck?

Thanks!
