Hey Neal,

Well, if you're most interested in strip, then staying with the smaller bars will help with weight transfer. The stock 318 B-body bars are probably something like .870 (that's off the top of my head). The Hemi and 440 cars came with something like .920 bars. If you want street handling with that big block, I'd go with at least .960 (which I'm running in my Bel II with a lighter 360), or maybe even 1.00.

Just go to your local dealer and order them from MP. I've bought a couple sets from Glendora Dodge over the last few years for about $115.

BTW Neal, Eugene is my family's old town. No family left there now, but Eugene Skinner (Eugene and Skinner Butte) is my great, great, great (can't remember how many) uncle. Nice place.

My 318 equipped Fury is stepping up to a big block.
The old T-bars are probably no good as i knicked one with a cut-off
wheel cutting the old exhaust system out. OOPS!
Should I get heavier bars? This car is supposed to be a dual purpose
street/strip car.
IF SO:
Who /where has these new?
Should I get new ones or used?
Anybody have them used that wants to sell?
Can used ones be trusted?
Price?
I am completely rebuilding the front end and retrofitting discs so I
may as well do this right while i am there.
