They don't use a lower gear in trucks, but in some motor homes, you can
find
a five gear planetary. I have found a couple and used them in race
trans. The local
trans builder is always looking for them.

Was it over $400?
I would like to get one cheaper if possible.  Do you know if they ever
put a different ratio in trucks? Thanks, Ken


I use one that CRT (john cope) installed in mine......... IT CRANKS

Hi All,
Has anyone used a lower first gear (2.77 ratio)in their 727? The one in
the link below is $425.  That seems a little steep.  Anyone know where
to get them for less or if they are a good idea?
