Douglas,

This is a quick way to determine the ratio, but not scientific.
However I can get it right every time. Jack the car up with
the rear axel, both wheels off the ground if it is a sure grip,
put the car in neutral, get under the car and have some one
rotate the tire until the yoke is straight up and down. Mark
the tire with a piece of chalk at the top or bottom, lay under
the car and have a friend rotate the tire one rev at a time
until the yoke has gone one full turn. If the wheel goes around
four full times - and a bit - then you have a 4:10, it the wheel
goes almost four times around - then you have a 3:91 - I hope
your getting the picture by now.

Earl

I have a '64 Sport Fury, 383, automatic.

I assume I have a standard axle with standard wheels and tires. How
many
different ratios are there for my car?

I have lots of literature for my car, can I find it there?

Thanks!
