They were different lengths depending upon engine, transmission and gear
selection type.  Take 1964 for example, the gearshift control cable (ie, all
but park) :

A-904 : G block, no console : 2266 403 : 39"
A-904 : LA block, A body, no console : 2467 904 : 39"
A-727 : A block, B body, no console : 2266 403 : 39"
A-727 : B/RB block, B body, no console : 2265 183 : 43"
A-727 : B/RB block, B body, console : 2461 928 : 28.78"
A-727 : Dodge 880 & Chrysler, no console : 2461 052 : 55"
A-727 : Chrysler, console : 2461 930 : 28.78"
A-727 : Imperial : 2265 183 : 43"

For the park sprag :

A-904 : G block, A & B body, no console : 2401 291 : 54"
A-904 : B/RB block, B body, console : 2461 929 : 31.78"
A-727 : Dodge 880, Chrysler & Imperial, no console : 2405 564 : 58"
A-727 : Chrysler, console : 2461 931 : 31.78"

Right hand drive vehicles had longer cables.

  Were park sprag and shifter cables all the same length in a certain
  year or would they vary betwenn six banger, 318 and big block cars?
  Found some in good shape from a 6 banger car, dont want to waste my
  money if theyre not going to fit my big block setup.
