Yup, the new owner could rope off the older stuff, hire someone to run
an internet-based parts store, and make lots more money than what he'd
get from crushed scrap metal. Crushing these '62 to '65 parts cars is
just dumb business. Even if he sold the Mopar lot to another Mopar yard
he'd make more money, imho.

Spread the word everyone, we only have a few days to save as many of
these Mopars as we can.

I have realized that the people who run junkyards for the most part are not
very good business men. Local junkyards near here, including one that just
crushed over 1000 1930s to 1980s cars, don't capitalize on their opportunitys.
They complain that no one wants to buy parts for the old cars. Well no duh!
People don't know the cars are there and when you price out the stuff they try
and get top dollar. A friend of mine and I were discussing running a
junkyard most effectively. The internet was our key to selling as much as possible.
Such a shame too that these guys crush the old cars without taking old car
enthusiasts in consideration. They rely on old car folks to spread the word
about them. They need to get into the 21st century or give-up the old car
inventory to old car guys like us that will make the money for them. I mean come
on. They let these cars sit and sit and the rot into the ground when they could
strip off the perisables (lenses and such) and advertise the rest online and
get into shipping parts. Better than whinning about not selling parts on a
car for $3000 and just crushing for $500!
