The pump makes 8-8.5 lbs of pressure. The Performer carb does not like more than 6 lbs. You can still find a Carter high volume pump that makes 6 lbs but it isnt easy. I am now very good at taking apart Edelbrock carbs and putting them back together due to my experiance with the MP pump. I also increased by vocabulary through the addition of several new curses. I use that pump on a 440 based maxwedge with .484 cam and ofcourse the crossram. You will need to grind on the block so the bowl of the fuel pump will clear, otherwise it will not bolt up flush to the block. It should work well for you, I have no problems with it, seems to work well through all gears-4 speed with 4.30 gears. ----- Original Message ----- From: <Joeydahook9@xxxxxxx> To: <1962to1965mopars@xxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, June 23, 2004 9:59 PM Subject: MP Fuel Pump Is anybody using the Mopar Performance pump #4007039?
