Actually the idea was very sound and if they had stuck with it i think we would all be using a similar set up today. Of course two huge two barrels would accomplish the same thing although 4 (2 &2) would be the ultimate. Wouldn't that look great on a crossram. I think fuel distribution would be exceptional. 
It is high time someone reintroduced the design. (Hello Vic E?)
