My car came from the factory with a 426 street wedge & now has a Max Wedge. The 413 the previous owner installed had the same dimension between the water pump and radiator. The radiator number is 2445637, which is correct for a '64 - 426 - high altitude & A/C. Maybe it has an extra row of cores that requires a shorter clutch. I know a 3.61" would be a half inch too long to fit between the water pump and radiator...Brian Mark Kennedy wrote: Brian: I checked Haydens catalog in the fan clutch spec chart. I see that the fan clutch for your car is 3.61" overall height. Brian Schlump My '64 Belvedere has a clutch fan that is 2-1/2" in length. That leaves me approx. 1/2" of clearance to the radiator. All the new replacements I found were over 3" long. I had mine rebuilt, so I would have one that fits. I talked to another Max Wedge owner recently, and he's running a normal 4 blade fan, because he can't find a 2-1/2" clutch to fit his either. ---- Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
