Wally is exactly right. I had to remove the spring on the drivers side of my '65 Coronet to make the hood sit down where it belongs. For 2 years I carried a 1x4 to hold the hood up. Then I started to mess with it and found that by raising the front of the hinge,where it bolts to the inner fender actually lowered the hood! I t does not sound like the right way, but it worked for me. Good luck, Stan
