I just had the rears on my 64 Belvedere done here in Boston on Thursday.
If you can find a spring shop, I would go directly to them to have them
rebuilt.
I bought ss springs from espo and gave them to the shop. Mine were sagging
and the
rear height at the wheels was about an inch lower than the front.
They told me they could give me whatever ride height and capacity I wanted
by measuring the
capacity of the springs with a machine and to return the springs so I did.
They did a great job! I got 2 leaves removed and three heavier one
installed in place.
I got about an 1 1/2" in lift and they said they increased the capacity by
300 lbs. a side.
They riveted them, new bands, new shackles and bolts, new liners between the
leaves and even
painted them for me. It cost me $340.00 complete and took 2 days.
Mine's a daily driver.
