Last month I wanted to bid on an aluminum thermostat housing for the Hemi but
noticed that one of the members kept becoming the high bidder, so I laid off
it. Sure enough the next day one came on ebay that read "believed to be
aluminum" and started at $76.00. Those words and that starting price had Me sold
and I won the bid (only bidder) $90.00 US$ with shipping and I make CDN $.
Meanwhile He immediately had another one on ebay for the same starting bid,
I told a buddy with an A990 who needs one and emailed the seller with the
appropriate questions that I should have asked in the first place! after some
persuading He agreed to take it and ask a Welder or someone that knew metal from
Aluminum. He came back and told Me it was cast.
The housing arrived yesterday that I bid on with an additional $24.00 CDN
duty on it.
Upon opening it I realized immediately that it was Cast! Why? How? Because
it was rusty!!!
My buddy with the A990 has a cast one He will give Me.
Shame on Me!
I will probably relist the item on Ebay and give it away!
Shame on ME!
