It will need an adapter to bolt to the late model alum. case Torqueflites (1962-66) or simply swap the 62-66 crank into the 59 block. The fuel pump, oil pump, timing case cover, and starter (closer to the block and will not interchange with the LA starter) have minor differences. Since the Poly 4318 are free and plentiful, use the 62-66 Poly 318 engines to avoid the minor inconveniences and slight modifications. Maybe you guys would know. What's the difference between a '59 and a '64-'65 poly engine aside from the charging means? Are the blocks the same? Crank? Heads? Is it a suitable donor for a 62-65 car? Thanks gentlemen. Tom Duross [AD removed for archives] ------------------------------------------------------------------- Sponsor a child today through Children International.
