Guys, I just got in after an exciting cruise in the max wedge. I took it out, running hard through all four gears-(awesome). Car is running great. At the stop sign, no one around, bring the rev's up to 3000, sidestep the clutch and it's ripping the road, running hard (as usual), get through all four gears all of a sudden knock knock knock knock. The smile just left my face. I called my fiancee, get the diesel and the strap, I'm three miles from home,  come and get me. Got it home, time to check out the damage. I had her fire it up, sounded kinda like a knock, but not really. After further checking, #1 plug wire hanging down. ?????? I check the plug, and the porceline center is loose in the casing! It's blowing compression through the plug, blew the plug wire off. I thought maybe the piston contacted the plug..Nope- it was perfect, just the porceline center gave up.  I have never  in almost 25 years of playing in the Mopar kingdom, had that happen to me. Replaced the plug, she's good as new. Whew! Scared the *$(# out of me.  Where are the Champion plugs made now? Taiwan? Sometimes we take these things for granted, check your plugs closely......I can go to sleep now. Mopar to ya!!
