Its harder to go the other way, B distributor into and RB as I found out a few years ago. I still have a brand new Mallory YL-578 dual point in original box with directions, gage tool to set mechanical advance limits and even a decal that I had originally hoped to put imn the red 440 Polara before I found out the guy I bought it from didn't know what he was talking about when he said it would work in the RB. I bought the RB version of this distributor and have it in my Max Wedge car where it has performed flawlessly and looks period-correct. I like points because they are simple to work on and adequate for street use.

MP makes a spacer to adapt a RB distributor to a LB engine. Only a couple of
bucks, get ahold of Mancini.
