I've heard there is a spacer made so you can use an RB distributor in a
B engine.

Subject: Difference: R & RB Distributor

I'm trying to put a 383 motor together and the distributor won't seat.
I've compared it with the 440 units I have and it's only a 1/4" shorter
so I'm thinking all I've got are RB distributors.

What is the difference in length between the two?
