The hard way is to use 3x2 120 wall with the 3 inch part vertical. You need to cut the floor boards and weld them to the sub-frame connectors. It is a lot of work. The easy way is to use 2x2 120 wall, when you do it this way there is an easier way to brace up the frame than Torque Boxes. All you have to do is to put a big 45 degree gusset on all four corners of the mid body frame and the front and back frames. You put it on the outside corner of the junctions. On the back it can make getting hard to the front spring mounts. If you have your springs moved inboard, no sweat. On the front, it does not get into the way of anything. This accomplishes the same thing as a Torque box, and is much easier. Answer and Win! caacERJbV1hOja/PermissionData ------------------------------------------------------------------- I am working on the underside of my 64 Sport Fury and am about to tie the frame rails together with a set of sub-frame connectors but while I'm doing this I wonder if it would be worth installing torque boxes? If so this leads to the question are the ones advertised for the 66 up B bodies going to work on a 62-64 car? The car will eventually have a 451 4 speed and a 3.91or 3.55 gear but will only be street driven. Thoughts, comments appreciated. Thanks Nico Over Va.
