If your not losing much rpm between shifts, then it's not a very loose convertor. Frank does a great job with his convertors. The 4.10's will make it rev higher. Do you know what the stall speed is of the convertor? If you bought it from Frank it should say what it is. I had a 496 maxi that I ran on the streets. It had a 4500 stall in it. It would drop at least 500 rpm's per shift, but when you wanted it to leave, man it would leave. I have a 426 maxi now and run his 8 in with a 5500 convertor. However I don't drive it on the street anymore and run a 4.74 rear.

Good luck,
Bill B.
