Your parking brake cable needs to be tightened. There is a 1/2" nut at the yoke where the intermediate cable (the one that connects to the two rear brake drums cables) that need to be turned clockwise to take our some of the slack. Also, you might have too much clearance between the brake pads and the drums. The adjusters should take up this slack as you use them.

Couple of observations and questions for you all.

The door armrests have ashtrays. Is this right? Why would the drivers and
passengers armrests have ashtrays when there's one in the dash?

I can lock my doors by pushing down the lock button and slamming the door.
I've never been able to do that with any other 64-65 B body I've had.
Is this right or wrong?

The dimmer switch is under the parking brake pedal. If I engage the parking
brake, I can't get to the switch. My others are lower on the floor pan.
I pulled back the carpet and no other holes or indents. Bad placement?

Just a few things I've noticed with this new car.

Thanks,.
