I have a 66 426 Hemi engine that one of my pistons have gotten broken by a valve seat coming loose. The pistons were installed by the previous owner and none of my paperwork shows the make or size of them. My mechanic told me that Ross will make us a new piston, but we have to buy 4 of them. This will be $400.00. Has anyone else run into this problem or similar that can offer any suggestions? thanks Tomcat You should be able to get a number off the piston. I would guess that it all depends on the exact size. Was the motor bored? Are the pistons oversized? You can probably get a single piston from a manufacturer but it will be exspensive as hell.
