There is about a 10% improvement in BTU output of alcohol over race gas.
There are lots of things you have to do to convert to alcohol, and most
of
them are not worth it unless your racing, and even then it is a lot of
expense
and work.

 Whats it take to convert to alcohol? My propane question last week
bombed out, there went that idea, so whats the power potential of
alcohol, how hard is it to find, cost , etc.
  The 62 -65Mopar bleeding heart liberal really wants to convert one of
  his  projects to an alternative fuel source. Tons of hippies  around
  here running Biodiesel.
