I am not sure if I understand your question, the k-member is the cross member. Or what are you referring to when you say cross member? The k-member is the big pan that holds the motor mounts, the torsion bars and the lower control arms. I am not trying to sound like an a-hole here, I just wanna make sure we are on the same page.

As for the 68-74 b-body k-member, i remember reading somewhere that they set the engine back an inch or two. I am not sure on this one. If you can find a 318 k-member for your car, Schumacher sells motor mount adapter kits.

Wow, 13.5:1. I am jealous. That thing is going to be sweet!!

I was not aware that I had to change the k member. will a member from a 68-74 b-body work? also will the cross member need to be changed or can it be modified. I am machinist by trade and have a full serv shop at my door. fab is very simple. the guy that handles the boring asked me if I wanted it back to stock comp I said sure and he make sure you run nothing less than 108 octane because it is 13.5-1.
