Two things to remember about using a blasting cabinet #1 preclean any parts of oil / grease and make sure they are DRY, #2clean the parts after they are blasted with hot soapy water and pressure.I cannot stress these two things enough!! Back in the day, when I was a pup, I bead blasted some motorcycle pistons and blew them off with air.Assembled the engine and sent it out the door.It came back with a "little noise" that was not there before I freshened it up. The glass beads had clung in the oil retention grooves on the skirts and melted to the aluminum.4 new Venolia pistons that came out of my pocket. I also got beads in my eyes,as a list member did. When the Dr. looked in my eyes he says " all I see is bubbles" I say"those are the glass beads I was telling you about" Then I mutter "stupid college boy" " WHAT DID YOU SAY??" I said "stupid garage toy"
