I have a 78 727 that I want to use. It came out of a Fury cop car. I'm
reading that in 1978 Mopar went to lock up converters. I am using a Dynamic 11"
race converter (non lock up). I have 2 questions. How can I tell if this is
a lock up transmission and, can I make this a non lock up trans by just
switching the converter? I don't have the original converter. I have 2 other BB
727's, a slipping 1966 and an unknown year. I plan to rebuild whichever
trans I end up using, I just thought the 78 would be better/stronger as it has
60 k miles and was out of a cop car. Joe

Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. I.e., send parts/car transactions and negotiations as well as other personal messages only to the intended recipient, not to the Clubhouse public address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
