On one of my older cars, I used the old acrylic enamel about 12 years ago and
it's still good. On a more recent job, I used the 2 stage urethane, base
coat, color coat and clear coat. I guess that's the more preferred paint job
overall. If you get a scratch, you can sand the clear coat down and reshoot
without getting to the base coat or color coat. 2 stage is a little more
expensive but probably worth it.
