Same deal as inthe book  Ken just a bit more gentle. The more cam the faster the advance needs to be. Te limit though willl be aoutthe same. This by the way really wakes upp these engines making them much easier to drive and enjoy. 
Marine engines use a very similar advance curve and amount of mechanical advance with no vacuum. They are often mild hi perf street engines.
