Dash light problems 1964 Dodge Polara

Hi everyone,

Hope everyone has an awesome and safe New years! I am hoping someone can pinpoint my problem.  I had no dash lights so I replaced the headlight switch (with the proper one) the connection plugged right in. Now when I turn on my headlights I have dash light but also both of my turn signal indicators light up and my gas gauge moves past full. Now if I dim the dash lights the signal indicators turn off and the gas gauge returns to normal.

It would be greatly appreciated if someone has an answer.
