yes parking brake ,most likely the gasket unless the pawl has broke and split the housing ,these big heavy cars must be completely stopped before placing in park

Neal, a leak could be from the park housing gasket, the small access plug, the cable O-ring, or the cable jacket. Clean everything and wait for the first drop! If the cable jacket is the cause, most people are successful in using wire shrink tubing over the cable jacket. The other causes are nuts and bolts.

I think that cable is for  the parking pawl but I can't remember for sure.  It actually appears to be coming out of the little box assembly. What is the cause of this and is there an easy fix?
