Yes great call I have headers on my car and I had to snug one of the header bolts it was hissing with steam luckily that fixed it. It was after the car sat for a while maybe 6 months. If that isn't it you probably got to do a compression test and leak down test. You will know the low cylinder when you compression test. Then with the leak down you add air and you will hear it in the radiator or overflow depending on the car. It sucks a head gasket can blow many different ways same thing with the head and cracks. Sometimes they smoke sometimes not. Best of luck keep us posted

What about a possible simpler issue ?  Exhaust manifold stud leaking into the exhaust manifold?
