Yes great call I have headers on my car and I had to snug one of the header bolts it was hissing with steam luckily that fixed it. It was after the car sat for a while maybe 6 months. If that isn't it you probably got to do a compression test and leak down test. You will know the low cylinder when you compression test. Then with the leak down you add air and you will hear it in the radiator or overflow depending on the car. It sucks a head gasket can blow many different ways same thing with the head and cracks. Sometimes they smoke sometimes not. Best of luck keep us posted Chuck Sent from my Galaxy -------- Original message -------- From: "Derrick @ Comcast" <derrickb81@xxxxxxxxxxx> Date: 8/19/22 11:27 PM (GMT-05:00) To: 1962to1965mopars@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: Possible Head gasket leak or worse Sent from my iPad Derrickb81@xxxxxxxxxxx > On Aug 19, 2022, at 9:50 PM, 62-65-mail-list-club-Gary-H <62-65-mail-list-club@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > > The H-Freight tester must "sniff" for hydrocarbons by drawing air from the cap opening on the radiator? > (That is similar testing approach that emissions (tailpipe) sniffers use.)
