RE: pilot bushing dos and donts



If it's in a running car the trans and torque converter would have to come out. Then look at the end of the crank there will be a large hole where the center of the torque converter/flywheel fits in and rests then deeper in the crank there is a smaller hole for the pilot bushing.

how can one tell if a 440 crank is machined for a pilot bushing ? And  if it is not, would it require disassembling the engine to do so?
