I saw a picture of a ' 64 Dodge online that was an altered wheelbase car,
believe it was supposed to be one of the originals, and it was only slightly
altered.

It was probably Dick Landy, he had a factory reinforced AWB car, at least a
65, but I don't know about a 64. If it is correct and looks like a FACTORY
AWB that would be even more WICKED!!!

I know your heart is set on making the 64 hardtop a sedan, but if
you left it a hardtop, it wouldn't be necessarily incorrect for the
era. a few of the early AWB cars were 64s... I remember see pictures
of a least one 64 Dodge, the front tires weren't moved forward, only
the rears (on that particular car...)
