When you are autocrossing or some ofhter form of stop and go racing its a different story. Friend of mine has a 67 Coronet, 440 engine, auto trans 100% stock body and still uses the factory drums that came with the car originally. (318 auto) Even after clicking off a liw 12 sec 1/4 mile run, the drum do a remarkable job of hauling the car down. When you are running a road course, or other similiar racing, disc brake on all four wheels certainly are an important upgrade. Depending on the mph of the car, even a 1/4 mile car can benefit, but again it depends on the speed the car is going throught he traps. Trucks on the other hand used for hauling/work, really can benefit from 4 wheel discs. but thats another topic. Doc.
