You might be able to get away with putting the speakers behind the door panels, to be heard but not seen. This is what I intend to do with my '65 to get some bass in the front. I've currently got a pair of higher range speakers in the original dash location, but sometimes its not enough to overcome the big block roar.

A couple of quick questions concerning my '64 Fury:

What are you guys doing about wiper blades (not refills)? Mine are
getting a bit sloppy.

I'd like to add some speakers to the front of my interior, but prefer
not to cut the original door panels. What are you doing with yours?
