Could be crud in the tank now in the line, creating a blockage. Remove the gas cap and blow compressed air toward the tank from the hose at the fuel pump. If the air is flowing, you should be able to get gas.

Hi Gary! You must be getting tired of hearing from me so often, but I have another question for you. I am working on that 1966 coronet 440 /6 and I'm not getting fuel to the carb. I am going to put a new Carter fuel pump on to see if thats the problem, if it is not, what else could it be? I did have it running before I bought it, but now it seems to not be getting any gas at all to the carb. I could use some alternative ideas if you can think of any?

Thanks, Don

One way you can tell if it is from a van is that most vans had about a 1'
hole in the top of the bell housing for timing as you couldn't see the
timing marks on the front of the engine. Also the transmissions are the same
as cars as long as they both have the same length tail housing, and that can
be changed out. Transmission mounts are replaceable. I have made this
changeover many times over the years.

I don't know if came out of a van or possibly a truck as it had that dropped crossmember with it. It looks the same as my other 4 727's except for the smallblock bellhousing. Joe
