to start, set them all at 1 turn, check the butterflies, and
make sure they aren't completely closed.
(some of the numbers guys can tell you the exact
gap you should have), but it will run best if they are just slightly
opened, the secondaries need a small screwdriver, from
under the plate, if you don't have a high rise manifold,
you may not be able to get to it.
if you have it off, you can adjust it more easily.

i would leave the idle screws at one turn and massage the butterflies, till
you can kill the motor by screwing one idle screw in. then adjust the
idle mixture.

the important thing is to adjust front and rear equally,
if you open the front butterflies, open the rears the same
amount of turns, same with idle screws.

anybody on this sight knows, i love these carbs, and
i think nothing runs better
than a properly adjusted double pumper

if you need some help contact me off list, i would be happy to convert you.

Hi again,

Des anyone have any insight into the better approach to carb
adjustment of one of these things.
Im ok with Carters, and single feed holleys but im looking forward to
the experience here on this carb with two metering plates, so i would
guess to idle circuits.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

for starters, the front idle screws are at about a turn (ish) each ,
yet the rears look to be almost backed all the way out.

Id like any feedback possible on where one might start with this thing.

thanks to all,
