RE: new turn signal socket

On my car, the bulb base was rusted and fused to the socket.  I did 
indeed very, very carefully remove the bulb base from the socket, after 
crushing the glass, of course.  It took forever, and after I cleaned out 
the socket, it was so rusted it wouldn't begin to take a new bulb.  I 
had no choice and now, with the new, removable socket, I'll never have a 
problem again.
