I have seen TV shows where they spray the underbody with Line-x spray on bedliner which is also a spray on bed liner. It is applied by a spray gun at a shop that does this or with a mobile unit that comes out to do it. It is supposed to be a great sound deadener and will not chip offf. I think they did it on a car Boyd Coddington was doing as well as a 4x4 on Trucks.
Looks clean.

My car came back from the media blaster with mustard-yellow etched 
primer. Of course the body and engine compartment etc., will get primed 
and painted (engine compartment already is), but the underbody is butt 
ugly mustard yellow, particularly the wheelwells.

I was thinking of brushing-on Herculiner Bed Liner ... sounds weird, but 
I had heard of someone who did so, and now swears it acted as an awesome 
undercoating of sorts. Has anyone tried this or something similar?

I noticed that the Herculiner product also comes in gray ... I was going 
to go black, but somebody in the "front grille black-out" thread said 
that the factory underbody color for Plymouth is gray ... hmmm ... 
thoughts?
