Neal,you must get this car,you must!!!!  You will have the big 727,slip joint transmission so you can put in any B/RB you want. My experience with little old lady goes like this: the engines are often crudded up due to puttering around, lots of blow-by that you may smell on a test drive.Don't worry too much,the cyl bores are probably pristine,the rings were probably never broken in.If you get it,which you should,pull the valve covers and have a peek,don't be frightened by what yo see,clean as much crud as you can,change the oil and use a quart of ATF in the engine oil,run it around a bit and repeat as needed. ATF is highly detergent and will break loose the sludge,change oil and filters often and you will likely be ok.
 If you can, try to use the KISS method on this one, not many unmolested ones left you know.
