I think these caps are easily vibrated off. I lost one on a trip to Dallas and talked to another guy at MATS who lost his on the way to Vegas. If anyone knows a replacement source for the cap other than a used pump, let me know also. It makes me wonder how many were lost when the cars were new. After watching " It's a Mad, Mad World " the other night, the older lady's crazy son that drove the red convertible 62 Dart must have lost his, the way he drove that Dart.
Someone I know (dogs didn't eat them) came up in my yard and "borrowed" my power steering pump cap off the fedral type pump in my 62 Fury. The Saginaw type is easily found in parts stores but does anyone know a vendor for the caps for pumps with round necks? Thanks, Randy
