Rich why take a chance of a ring loosing its tension or sticking or a valve  
spring getting weak ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, probaby would not happen, but why chance  
it,,,,,,  just grease all of the machined surfaces, put in a plastic bag  
(stop by one of the supply houses, and ask them to save you a bunch of the  
descadent (spelling) bags to throw in the engine bag) raise it up off of the  
concrete and leave it untill you are closer to installation,,,,,,,,that way you  
will not have to second guess yourself as to what was done and what was not  
tightened during assembly the summer before.
